There has been a significant increase in the number of larcenies from parked vehicles during the past month county wide.  The thieves are targeting expensive electronic devices left in unattended cars.  Items such as GPS devices, IPODs and other electronic items are being sought after.  These items once stolen can not be deactivated by the owner.  These devices are then being sold for pennies on the dollar of their original cost.  Never leave valuables in view of others.  Remove all electrical cords and other tell tale signs that electronics may be inside.
