Fire Destroys Valhalla Home

On December 13, 2005, at approximately 9:15AM, the Mount Pleasant Police Department received an E-911 call reporting a structure fire at 10 Park Avenue in Valhalla, NY.
 
The Valhalla and Hawthorne Fire Departments were immediately dispatched to the scene as well as Mount Pleasant Police Officers.  The patrol officers were the first to arrive on the scene.  Their initial reports confirmed a working structure fire and that all residents had made it safely out of the home. The fast moving fire completely destroyed the two family ranch style home.
 
The Valhalla and Hawthorne Fire Departments requested mutual aid responses from several nearby fire departments including the Thornwood and Sleepy Hollow Fire Departments.
 
Additional resources sent to the scene included; the Valhalla Ambulance Corp, The Mt. Pleasant Medic Fly Car, Mt. Pleasant Water District, Mt. Pleasant Highway Department, Mt. Pleasant Building Department, Con Edison and the Westchester County Arson Task Force.
 
The fire was eventually ruled "Accidental" by the Arson Task Force Team.
