The Mt. Pleasant Police Department is made up of 53 sworn police officers as well as civilian support staff.   The Chief of Police is assisted by a Captain and 2 Patrol Lieutenants .  The department includes:

  • Car seat installations take place at our Brady Ave
     garage (off Stevens Ave in Hawthorne) on the 2nd
     and 4th Saturdays each month from 10am-2pm.

Our Department


 The Town of Mt. Pleasant Police Department, located in  Westchester County, New York, covers approximately  32 square miles including the Hamlets of Hawthorne,  Thornwood, and Valhalla.  Coverage also extends into  the  unincorporated section of Pleasantville, as well as portions  of Sleepy Hollow, Pocantico Hills, Briarcliff, and Chappaqua.​
